This posts is not about the competition but a discussion which I like you guys to read and think about. Recently I’ve been receiving quite a few emails about “How the religion look at Music” and I’ve read through the fatwas man…So strict..Is this from a strong Hadith or a weak Hadith!! Music can inspire people, music can motive people, music can change people in a matter of minutes. Have you ever listen to songs that brings great messages? What can be achieved by an Ustaz in a 1 hour lecture can be summarised in minutes and the effects are so much greater. Can Music do so? I believe this is possible and it has been done before.

Once upon a time there is this great man who use to be a very popular musician, whom eventually found Islam and he did converted. In his journey to understand the religion further, he quit being a musician and dedicated his life to Islam. After a while he realized that the music he created years before he became a Muslim had great messages that moved millions of people and also save million others. He realized that his songs save someone’s life. With that he quoted, “Allah says,’ Whoever saves the life of one human being it is as if he has saved the whole of humanity ‘ “. This man is Yusof Islam (formerly known as Cats Stevens). He is still making songs and performing today!

The song is about a true story that happened in history. Prophet Muhammmad s.a.w offered to carry the load of an old Jewish lady, who simply hatred ‘this man, named Muhammad.’ Not knowing who the gentleman who offered to carry her load, she hurled abuses at this ‘man, called Muhammad’ all the way to her home.
