Song writing Competition org by By left and Masjid An Nur, in remembrance of Muhammad, Prophet for Humanity.

The theme(s) of the competition revolves around Life, Love and Woman;

1. The best man benefits most men
(Sebaik2 manusia adalah yang memberi manfaat kepada manusia lain)

2. He loves for others what he loves for himself
(Dia cintakan untuk saudaranya apa yang dia cintakan untuk dirinya)

3. Woman adorns and brings blessings to the world
(Wanita yang baik adalah sebaik2 perhiasan dan membawa rahmat di dunia in)

All genres are welcome, but it has to be in Malay.

1st prize stands to grab $3000 in cash. 2nd, $2,000 and 3rd, $1,000. The top 10 songs will be cut into an album.

The theme as mention above in the banner - Alunan Kasih requires the writer to put in their thoughts and inputs about the Prophet Muhammad. This competition was only publicised two weeks ago and the organisers have been getting overwhelming response to it even though it was just publicity via posters and word of mouth.

Imagine songs for the prophet and to educate the public via lyrics and melody… Truely a dakwah in another form… Watch out for this….10 finalists will eventually compete at the Grand Concert which will be held in May…Date is yet to be confirmed. Stick around and do our polls..

I also understand tt there will be a concert with a difference to be staged where the best songs r to be performed. Somewhere in May / June 08.
